Digital Viscometer

The LVDV-II+Viscometer (Brookfield Instruments, Middleboro, MA) has a built in RTD temperature probe for sample monitoring, and a RS-232 parallel printer computer communications line. With the Ultra Low Adapter, this instrument can measure viscosities in the range of 1cp-2Mcp (cp: centipoise). The LVDV-II+ can continuously sense and display Viscosity (cP or mPa·s), Temperature (°C or °F), Shear Rate, Shear Stress, % Torque, Spindle. The DV Loader software allows the measurement parameters to be downloaded. In addition, the Wingather data collection program allows for data collection with a PC. These results can then be plotted and used for comparison with historical data.
